“yoCard”, an Ukrainian startup, working in the field of discount cards development, managed to attract funds in the amount of $399K. “yoCard’s” value proposition to retail chains and supermarkets is to get rid of the plastic and to swop all plastic loyalty cards to virtual mobile “cards”. There’s no point to enumerate all advantages of mobile “discount cards”, just enough to mention one: the customer does not have to carry a heap of plastic in his pocket.
Also, “yoCard”, is planning to enhance the functionality of its services by adding some payment features to their products, so that electronic discount cards will partly become bank cards. In terms of geographical expansion, the company is looking forward to entering Asian and European markets. In particular, the company has already implemented a project for Israel; however, its details are not disclosed.
