Most internet users in Russia are using Internet for watching and downloading movies, other video (95,1%), music (90,8%), reading books (75,3%) and online games (68,2%). Such data was provided in the research OnLife conducted by Synovate Comcon in 1Q2014 among internet users in large Russian cities in the age of 16 till 54.
Among paid content, the most popular is games – 47,5% of surveyed paid for them, second place – apps for smartphones and tablets – 32%, and software and other soft - 27,8%.
For access to the mass media – only 6% of internet users have paid.
In general, only 1/3 of surveyed (31%) paid for any type of content in Internet and spent in average 556 RUB per 3 month.
