Russian operators’ revenue increased from provision of paid radio, TV and satellite communication in 1H2014 for 77,6% vs same period last year – 15,4 bln.RUB, published Lenta.ru with a reference to Ministry of Communication.
General revenue from these services increased for 20,8%, till 37,3 bln.RUB.
The vast growth also showed Internet services – till 93,5 bln.RUB or for 84,9% vs 1H2013. Total revenues of this sector increased for 46,8% till 152,8 bln.RUB.
As it was specified, revenue from Internet access services is growing not for the first year, but previously it was not that impressive. Since 2010, it was 23-25% in average yearly for services, provided to population and 10-12% for total revenues from these services. Major improvement was in 2014: revenue in 1Q2014, received by operators from individuals for internet access, increased for 86,5% till 45,6 bln.RUB.
