1,37 bln.RUB will be provided during the coming 4 years for SKIF-Nedra (software developed by Russia and Belarus).
The project has been approved by Russian Government (30 August 2014) and signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Same approval was made by Belarusian Council of the Ministers and was signed by Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich (16 September 2014). Now the Council of Ministers of Common State (Russia and Belarus) should approve it.
The full name of the software is – Research and Development of High-Producing Informational Computing Technologies for Increase and Effective Use of Resources of Hydrocarbons of Common State. The program includes the development of informational computing platform, research, processing and development of hydrocarbons raw material and other mineral products.
In terms of the project, two models of supercomputers SKIF-GEO will be developed. First – will be used as a collective data center – SKIF – GEO – DPC. Second – is for industrial companies, research centers and educational institutions – SKIF – GEO – Office. The second model will have mobile version for seed works – SKIF-GEO-POLE.
