Economical sanctions from the Western countries won’t have a significant impact on the activity of JSC "M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems" (ISS) in the next two years.
Nevertheless, from 2016 the company will start a smooth swap process of American and European equipment for spacecraft to the one manufactured by ISS. Company’s CEO and Chief Designer Nikolai Testoyedov said this to a ComNews reporter.
Earlier, on August 27, the company has finalized the construction of a scheduled telecom satellite – “Yamal-401” which had been built with the use of French-made Thales Alenia Space (TAS) payload complex.
“We are planning to replace gradually American-made components as well as European equipment from countries that have supported anti-Russian sactions, - said Mr. Testoyedov. – This replacement will take effect for spacecraft to be launched by 2016”.
