The Ministry of Communications is “pulling the rubber” about TV development

According to documents published on the Regulation.gov.ru portal, the Ministry of Telecommunications is proposing to extend the terms of the "Development of broadcasting in the Russian Federation" Federal Targeted Program to 2018 and increase its funding to 147.6B rubles.

The program was originally planned to finalize in 2015. Delays were caused by the adjustment of the terms for the second digital multiplex cutover into the service.

Another reason for delay was the change in terms of the grants provision for reimbursement of FSUE "Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network" costs associated with the implementation of the essential channels digital broadcasting.
