Current Market State and Forecast

 

Russian legal video services market had reached 7.4 bln RUB as of the result of 2014.

 

Market revenue will increase till 12.9 bln RUB by 2018. The yearly average growth rate will be 14. 9% during 2014-2018.

 

 

In 2014 66.5% of revenues were generated under the AVOD monetization model. Advertising model will remain as the leader on the market and will reach 72% share by 2018.

 

 

Despite the fact that growth rates of paid monetization models EST and SVOD will overstep the market growth rates and advertising model, the general share of paid models on legal video services market by 2018 will decrease due to the falling share of TVOD in 2015. This is due to the actions of the largest market player in the segment – Tricolor TV, which included the service Cinema Hall in the basic package Ediniy (General) in March 2015 without changes in the fee.
