The elimination of the "digital inequity" will increase Russia's GDP, the Ministry of Communications says

The "digital inequality" elimination project implementation will create up to 2 million new jobs and will seriously increase the GDP, said the head of the Ministry of Telecommunications Nikolai Nikiforov at a meeting with the General Secretary of the International Telecommunication Union Hamadoun Toure. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.


A mention must be made that on February 3, 2014, the President Russian signed a federal law that aims to establish the system of universal service, and is designed to provide equal access to modern infrastructure of communication services to all the population.
